CONFLATULATIONS TO YOU Table of Contents: Wolfgang's Farts

Behind Closed Doors, The Perfect Couple

Everyone thought they were the perfect couple
Kind, courteous and amorous they seemed
No one knew their marriage was in trouble
And that each of separating dreamed

No one knew what went on behind closed doors
For in public they were into great pretense
They never talked of disrespect or of paramours
What their closed doors did was hide the evidence

The shock for all hit when the couple came clean
It was a loud pop, like when a bubble burst
It happened when one with a new partner was seen
It’s then one learned the truth and not what was rehearsed

When a couple as perfect is classified
The truth is they’ve hidden behind closed doors
And almost never evidence provide
That trouble of any sort underscores

What’s always perfect is the pretense
And not the couple that their friends deceive
Good acting is what such perfection sends
It’s what caused their deceit to be believed.
